Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007. Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas. She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991. Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.
Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes. Survivors include her husband Margarito Ruiz of Edroy, Texas; son: Reynaldo Ruiz of Calallen, Texas; daughters: Irma (Osbaldo) Cantu of Corpus Christi, Texas, Belinda Calderon of Odem, Texas and Norma Ruiz of Edroy, Texas; brothers: Jose Hernandez of Sinton, Texas and Daniel Hernandez of Odem, Texas; sisters: Anita Garcia and Lupe Granado both of Victoria, Texas; grandchildren: Rey Anthony Ruiz, Robert Rey Ruiz, Jacob Ruiz, Jennifer Ruiz and Benjamin Calderon.
