Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007. Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas. She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991. Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.
Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes. Frank Anthony "Tony" Knox, 64, Odem Texas passed away on February 3, 2012 after a brief but courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Marilyn Knox; his son Jason Knox; his daughter Amanda Pelletier (James); his grandson James Aison Pelletier; his brother Kenneth Knox; his sister Judy Traber, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father Ray Knox; his mother Armintey "Barbara" Knox; and brother Larry Knox.
