  Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007.  Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas.  She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991.  Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.  Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.

Hall, Lawrence FrankLawrence Frank Hall, Sr.,91, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Trisun River Ridge Nursing Center in Calallen, Texas.  He was born July 28, 1917 to Thomas Newton Hall and Iva Ine Boultinghouse in Bedford, Bell, Texas.  The family settled in Odem, San Patricio, Texas where Lawrence grew up and received his early education.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army Corp in July 1941 serving in World War II.  He served in the military for 4 years. Lawrence married Altha Dean Dooley Bronson. They raised two children, Johnce Bronson and Patricia Hall, where they lived in Corpus Christi, Nueces, Texas.

He remarried Elizabeth "Kathy" Ford on July 25, 1969.  Together they raised seven children, Renita Ford, Velda Ford, Lisa Ford, Clay Ford, II, Melissa Hall, Lawrence Frank Hall, Jr., and Hadie Hall.

His greatest enjoyments included gardening, fishing and hunting.  He retired from Huckman’s Trucking Company, and could often be found enjoying one or all of his favorite pastimes.

Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth "Kathy" Hall of Orange Grove, Texas; his children: Johnce Bronson, Lawrence Frank (Anabel) Hall, Jr. of Freer, Texas, Clay (Jonette) Ford, II of Kewanee, Illinois, Patricia Hall, Melissa (Steve) Hermes of Aransas Pass, Texas, Hadie McNeal of Corpus Christi, Texas, Renita Ford (Robert) Collier of Dallas, Texas, Velda Ford (Kerry) Poole of Senate, Texas, and Lisa Ford (John) Petersen of San Antonio, Texas; his brother: E.R. "Pete" Hall of Orange Grove, Texas; his sisters: Hadie Tedder, Margie Garner and Bobby Jean Harris, all of Corpus Christi, Texas, Elaine Brown of Mathis, Texas; 25 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Newton Hall; his mother, Iva Ine Boultinghouse Hall; his stepmother, Mary Ellen Willis; and his sister, Betty Joe Hall Graham.

Jimmy Lynn Neal, a former salesman for Home & Safety Products, passed away November 6, 2008. He was 54.

Survivors include his mother, Peggy Ellison of Midland, Texas; two brothers, Rodney Neal of Aransas Pass, Texas and Mike Neal of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Jo Ann Sorden of Midland, Texas and Kathy Stam of Boulder, Wyoming.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Fred Merrill Neal.

Hinojosa, Mary Jane Mary Jane “GG” Hinojosa, a resident of Beeville, formerly of Sinton, died Monday, October 27, 2008, in an automobile accident near Mathis. She was 45.

Survivors include her father, Baldemar Hinojosa, Sr. of Uvalde, Texas; 5 bothers, Baldemar Hinojosa, Jr. of Pearsall, Texas, Ruben Hinojosa of Sinton, Texas, Raynaldo Hinojosa of Victoria, Texas, Amador Hinojosa of Portland, Texas and Ramiro Hinojosa of Sinton, Texas.

Mary Jane is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Hinojosa and a brother, Hector Hinojosa.

Reyna, Alicia OchoaAlicia Ochoa Reyna, a homemaker and former sales associate for The Leader Department Store for 17 years, passed away October 11, 2008. She was 78.

Alicia, daughter of Manuel and Guadalupe Ochoa, was born August 14, 1930 in Yorktown, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton. December would have marked the 45th anniversary of her marriage to Ricardo Chapa Reyna.

Survivors include her husband Ricardo Reyna; a daughter Debra R. (Mario) Medina all of Sinton, Texas; 2 sisters, Amelia Davila of Dallas, Texas and Ida (Leonard) Montelongo of California; 2 granddaughters, Amanda Aguirre and Veronica Medina, both of Sinton, Texas and 6 great-grandchildren.

Alicia is preceded in death by both of her parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Ochoa.

Longoria, Concepcion VillanuevaConcepcion Villanueva Longoria, a homemaker, passed away October 9, 2008. She was 83.

Concepcion was born to Guadalupe and Petra Ramos Villanueva on February 28, 1925 in Calallen, Texas. Concepcion Longoria was a faithful Catholic who loved her plants and flowers. Her family will always remember the love she had for them and her home cooking. Mrs. Longoria  resided in Sinton for 58 years.

Survivors include four sons: Severo V. (Dolores) Longoria of Webster, Texas, Manuel V. Longoria of Sinton, Texas, Raymond V. (Irma) Longoria of Sealy, Texas, and Isaias V. (Maria) Longoria of Taft, Texas; two daughters: Mary O. (Santos) Salinas of Sinton, Texas and Danasia L. (Tom) Bookman of Pasadena, Texas; 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Concepcion is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon L. Longoria; a son, Roman V. Longoria; her father, Guadalupe Villanueva; and a brother, Guadalupe Villanueva, Jr.
