Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007. Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas. She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991. Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.

Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes. (Pepe) Molina of Sinton; two sons, Charlie Garcia and Jessie Garcia; one daughter, Angie Garcia all of Portland, Oregon; three brothers, Polo (Elia) Molina of Banquete, Ruben Molina of Sinton, Roland (Angie) Ybarra of Robstown; three sisters, Minnie (Pete) Barrios) of Sinton, Sylvia (Rene) Mata of St. Paul, and Linda (Eliseo) Saldivar of Taft; and 12 grandchildren.

Trevino, Elvira Almanza Elvira Almanza Trevino, 72, passed away August 29, 2007.

Mrs. Trevino was born in Fulshear, Texas to Jose and Pauline Almanza on May 30, 1935. She owned and operated E & T Taxi Service for more than ten years. She was a Catholic and a resident of Sinton for thirty years.
A rosary was held Friday, August 31, at 7:00 PM. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 1, 9:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton with Father Paul Rajareegam officiating. Burial followed at Eternal Rest Cemetery.
