Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007. Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas. She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991. Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.
Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes. Roberto "Bobby" Flores, 51, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2009. He was a self-employed landscaper for 10 years. Bobby was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bobby was born October 12, 1957 in Sinton, Texas. He was a former resident of Sinton, but lived in Corpus Christi for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife: Patricia Flores of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sons: Daniel and Roberto Jose Flores of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters: Gabriella and Brianna Flores of Corpus Christi, Texas; six brothers: Juan (Nancy) Espinoza of Taft, Texas; Rene (Esther) Ramirez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Raymond, Sonny, Frank and Thomas Flores, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; four sisters: Maria Lambert of Corpus Christi, Texas; Rachel Martinez, Elena and Dolores, all of Ft. Worth, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, Josefa Espinoza Flores, Alberto Flores and Jose Ramirez, and two brothers, Moises and Jose Espinoza, precede Bobby in death.

Nora Alaniz Perez, a homemaker, passed away April 8, 2009. She was 47.
Nora was born on February 2, 1962, to Elemencio and Leonor Ramos Alaniz in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas.
Survivors include her husband: Roberto Perez of Sinton, Texas; two sons; two brothers, Alfredo (Maria) Esparza of Sinton, Texas and Elemencio (Mimi) Alaniz, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters: Juanita Alaniz Molina and Rosa Maria Molina, both of Sinton, Texas; two grandchildren: Jessica Molina and Juan Molina, Jr.
Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother, Fabian Esparza.

Silviano Rodriguez passed away Monday, April 06, 2009 at his residence in St. Paul. He was 81.
Mr. Rodriguez was a Seasonal Farmer for 37 years. He was semi-retired and employed by Charles Fritcher and most recently the Ring Bros.
Silviano was born May 4, 1927 in Odem, Texas to Manuel and Cleotilde Bocanegra Rodriguez. He was a resident of St. Paul, but lived in Odem most of his life.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Anita G. Rodriguez of St. Paul; two sons: Joe (Alberta) Rodriguez and Daniel (Linda) Rodriguez, both of Odem, Texas; one daughter: Adelaida (Alfredo) DeLeon of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother: Timoteo Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters: Teodora Rodriguez of Arizona and Manuela (Daniel) Puente of San Antonio, Texas; 18 Grandchildren; and 11 Great-Grandchildren. Silviano is preceded in death by his parents and three sons, Silviano Rodriguez, Jr, Manuel Rodriguez and Roger Rodriguez.

Elida M. Rosa, 81, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2009. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Elida was born June 14, 1927, to Pedro and Maria Martinez in Crestonia, Texas. She had been a resident of Hebbronville, Texas, but made Odem, Texas her home for 52 years.
Survivors include her husband: Gilberto Rosa, Sr. of Odem, Texas; a son: Gilberto Rosa, Jr. of Odem, Texas; three daughters: Linda (Steve) Keevan of Corpus Christi, Texas, Elida (David) Hawthorne of Odem, Texas, and Norma (Felipe) Medrano of Robstown, Texas; five grandchildren: Ambar Medrano, Felipe Medrano, III, Ariana Medrano, Wayne Keevan and Matthew Keevan; one great-grandchild: Kaitlyn Guajardo; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Pedro and Maria Martinez.

Betty Jane Green, a resident of Papalote, passed away April 2, 2009. She was 63.
Betty Green was born April 16, 1945 in Onida, New York. She was a rural mail carrier in Skidmore and Tynan for twenty years. Betty was a member of VFW 8625 Ladies Auxiliary in Sinton. She was well liked by everyone and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Green, Jr. of Papalote; four daughters: Cindy (Andy) Hickman of Alvin, Dawn (Randy) Johnson of Corpus Christi, Lori Green of Seguin, Treasa (Damien) McFadden of North Carolina; two sons: Richard III (Melissa) Green of Seguin, Christopher (Fern) Green of Arizona; 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mason, and a grandchild, Brytnee Gunter precede her in death.
