Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007. Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas. She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991. Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.
Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes.  Our loving father and beloved friend Anderson "Andy" Johnson was called home to meet his Heavenly Maker Sunday, July 24, 2011. He was 87. Andy was born in Marlin, Texas June 5, 1924 to Anderson and Neval Burkshire Johnson. He moved to Sinton, Texas in 1959 where he became known and recognized by an entire community as "Andy, the Bar-b-que Man". Andy was a member of Zion Fair Baptist Church in Sinton and was a retired employee of San Patricio County. He will always be remembered by friends and church family as a generous and loving man who brightened any day with his smile.

 Julio P. Saldana, a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas passed away July 16, 2011 with his family by his side. He was 79. Julio was born April 12, 1932 in Goliad, Texas to Pedro and Felicitas Perez Saldana. He was a retired truck driver formerly employed by H & K Construction and Carroll Weaver.

 John Richard Diggs, 83, died July 4, 2011. John was born on June 20, 1928 in Washington, DC. He spent many years in San Antonio, Texas and resided in Sinton for the past 12 years. He served his country in the United States Navy and United States Army. Mr.Diggs continued to serve his family and country his entire life. He retired as Staff Sergeant US Army.
