  Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007.  Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas.  She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991.  Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.  Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.

  Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes.  Resthaven Funeral Home’s state-of-the-art facility assures your loved one’s final memory will be personal, memorable and lasting.  Look for future Resthaven Chapels in neighboring Odem and Taft.

Salinas, Miguel C.On February 5, 2009, at 9:25 AM, Miguel C. Salinas, a resident of Houston, Texas and former resident of Sinton, Texas, entered in eternal rest.  He fought a long and hard, courageous battle with Leukemia.

Miguel’s life was never boring.  He had many adventures. Now he has even greater adventures to endure and explore.  We love you, Miguel.  May you finally rest in peace.

Survivors include his wife: Guadalupe Molina Salinas; two sons: Jesse and Edward Salinas, all of Houston, Texas; two daughters: Leticia (Christopher) Guerrero of Houston, Texas and Rebecca Salinas of Dallas, Texas; two brothers: Santos (Olga) Salinas of Sinton, Texas and Richard (Eloisa) Salinas of Seguin, Texas; 6 Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends and family members.  His parents, Ramon and Chalina Cardenas Salinas, precede their son in death.

Reyckert, Donna ElizabethDonna Elizabeth Reyckert, 56, was taken by our Lord January 30, 2009.  She was born October 8, 1952 in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Donna is survived by her husband of 38 years, David Reyckert;  her mother, Louetta;  her father, Michael Ogassian; and a sister, Eva Marie Worley, all of Arlington, Texas.

Donna was co-owner and co-founder of Double D Statuary, which is located on Hwy 77.  Donna was a generous and big-hearted person who always put the care, well being and needs of her loved ones before herself. She met David in 1969.  David will always be her first and only love, and their everlasting love continues beyond death…Donna and David were as one entity, soulmates, doing everything together in work, play, bowling, golf and travel. Donna loved and raised beagles form many years, and her Tracy and Lyn have lost their momma.  Her great caring for others and her immense love for life was endearing to all, but was abruptly cut short. Her loss is deeply mourned by her relatives, aunts, nieces, nephews, friends and beloved husband. She now awaits her loved ones to join her over the rainbow bridge to be with her and the Lord.

(Judy) Loveday of Durango, CO, Steven Loveday of Montgomery, Texas and David (Stephanie) Loveday of Lompoc, CA; three daughters, Diane (Brad) Wyatt of Reno, NV, Becky Norrell and Barbara Ross, both of Montgomery, Texas; nine brothers, Charles (Sharmayne) Loveday of Houston, Texas, Ira (Debbie) Loveday of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Troy (Cheyrl) Loveday of Sinton, Texas, Darrell (Georgia) Loveday of Durango, CO, Farrell Loveday of San Antonio, Texas, Gary (Debbie) Loveday of Odem, Texas, Grady Loveday of Phoenix, AZ, Rick (Tana) Loveday of Odem, Texas, and Mike (Julia) Loveday of Edroy, Texas; four sisters, Gerry (Emmett) Schroeder and Yvonne Cordell, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Frances (Roger) Dangler of San Antonio, Texas and Debra (Pete) Summers of Virginia Beach, VA.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; former wife, Dorothy Fay Loveday of Montgomery, Texas; and his beloved companion, Hooch.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Troy and Ruby Loveday.

Jose T. Sanchez, a lifelong resident of Brady, Texas and a former stone cutter for Brady Monument Works for 25 years, passed away on January 27, 2009. He was 80.

Survivors include 5 sons: Joe (Lillie) Sanchez of Brady, Texas, Robert (Carloyn) Sanchez and Victor (Alice) Sanchez, both of Waco, Texas, Tom Sanchez of San Antonio, Texas, and Mike Sanchez, Sr. of Gatesville, Texas; two daughters, Sally (Jimmy) Willett of Snyder, Texas and Julia Aguilar of Brady, Texas; three stepchildren, Lupe Moreno, Felix Gomez and Santos Gomez; one brother, Noe (Julia) Sanchez of Brady, Texas; two sisters, Natividad (Frank) Garza and Annie (Jesse) Torrez both of Brady, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death is his wife, Cresencia DeLafuente Sanchez; his parents, Cruz and Eloisa Trevino Sanchez; one brother, six sisters, one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.

Ibarra, Juan J.Juan J. Ibarra, a resident of Ft. Worth, Texas and maintenance mechanic of 12 years for Sara Lee Distributors, passed away January 22, 2009. He was 52.

Juan was born on July 4, 1956, in Reynosa, Tamps, Mexico, to Rafael and Paula Ibarra. He was a member of the Mexican Army and Marines.

Survivors include his wife Mary L. Ibarra of Ft. Worth, Texas; 4 sons: Michael, Mark and David, all of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Joel of Alvarado, Texas; one daughter: Amanda also of Ft. Worth; one brother: Guadalupe J. Ibarra of San Fernando, Tamps, Mexico; 3 grandchildren: Jay, Elijah and Melissa; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his in-laws, Santos and Jose "Chema" Perez.
