Resthaven Obituaries

2013059_1.jpgMaria A. Aguirre went to be with Lord and her beloved husband on Saturday, August 24, 2013. She passed away peacefully at her residence in St. Paul, Texas. Maria was 79 years old.

She was born October 1, 1933 in Melvin, Texas to Margarito and Eluteria Gonzales. Maria attended school in Eden, Texas and lived part of her youth in San Angelo, Texas. She married Guadalupe Aguirre, Sr. on November 21, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas.

Maria and Guadalupe moved to St. Paul, Texas where they raised their family.

"Nana" loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling to visit her brothers and sisters as often as she could. Maria supported her children’s dreams and believed that everyone learns from their mistakes. She never judged anyone, and became "best friend" or "second Mom" to everyone who knew her. Maria lived a very simple life. She fought hard to beat the odds of her illness, but could fight no more. With all her children and grandchildren by her side, Nana waved her final goodbye. We have an angel in heaven looking out for us.
