Miguel C. Lara, a former oil field worker, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2008. He was 87.

Survivors include two nephews: Robert (Petra) Lara and Raul Lara, both of Sinton, Texas; 4 nieces: Alicia Davis of Sinton, Texas; Jesusa Gonzales of McKinney, Texas; Janie (Danny) Hopkins of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Mary Lou (Joe) Perez of Farmersville, Texas; numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.

Mr. Lara is preceded in death by his wife, Ambrosia Lara; his parents, Alfonso and Paulita Cano Lara; a brother and sister-in-law, Jesus and Luisa Lara.

Visitation began Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Resthaven Funeral Home. A prayer service was held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service was Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, Texas. Burial followed at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.
