Matilde R. Villarreal, a homemaker, passed away December 30, 2008.  She was 74.  Mrs. Villarreal was born to Juan and Maria Rangel on February 24, 1934 in Victoria, Texas.  She was a former resident of Sinton before moving to Alvin, Texas 34 years ago.

Survivors include 3 sons:  Jose Villarreal and Lorenzo Villarreal of Alvin, Texas; Martin (Sheila) Villarreal of Sinton, Texas;  1 sister:  Maria Juanita Rangel Gonzales of Sinton, Texas;  11 grandchildren;  2 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Villarreal is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Villarreal.

A rosary was recited Friday, January 2, 2009 at 7:00 PM.  The funeral service was Saturday, January 3, 2009, 10:00 AM, at Templo La Rosa de Saron in Sinton, Texas.  Burial followed at Eternal Rest  Cemetery in Sinton, Texas.  Services entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas.
