Betty Jane Green, a resident of Papalote, passed away April 2, 2009.  She was 63.

Betty Green was born April 16, 1945 in Onida, New York.  She was a rural mail carrier in Skidmore and Tynan for twenty years.  Betty was a member of VFW 8625 Ladies Auxiliary in Sinton.  She was well liked by everyone and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Green, Jr. of Papalote; four daughters: Cindy (Andy) Hickman of Alvin, Dawn (Randy) Johnson of Corpus Christi, Lori Green of Seguin, Treasa (Damien) McFadden of North Carolina; two sons: Richard III (Melissa) Green of Seguin, Christopher (Fern) Green of Arizona; 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.  Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mason, and a grandchild, Brytnee Gunter precede her in death.

Visitation was held Monday, April 6, 2009 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.  Graveside services were Tuesday, April 7, 2009, 10:00 AM, at Papalote Protestant Cemetery in Papalote.  Services under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton.
