Bradshaw, Lydia RuizLydia Ruiz Bradshaw, 74, of Kingsville, Texas passed away Saturday, August 01, 2009 in a Corpus Christi hospital with her family at her side.
She was born May 1, 1935 to Julian V. and Emma Sandoval Ruiz in Sinton, Texas.
Lydia, and her husband Don, moved to Kingsville in 1970.  She was employed by JC Penney for 25 years.  Lydia was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Kingsville where she was active in the Altar Society.  She was a member of the Incarnate Word Caritas Group, Kingsville Women’s Club Awareness Department, was a volunteer at Spohn Kleberg Hospital, a member of the Purple Ladies Association and faithful Bunco player of 30 years.
Lydia had a warm smile, a witty sense of humor and sweet personality.  She loved family and was especially proud of her grandchildren. Lydia always made the world a brighter place by simply walking into a room.  She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Preceding Lydia in death are her parents, Julian and Emma Ruiz, and brothers Eloy Ruiz, Sr, Alvaro Ruiz and Julian Ruiz Jr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 43 years: Carroll Donnie Bradshaw of Kingsville; a son: Roger (Rena) Bradshaw of Vietnam; two grandsons: Phillip Bradshaw of Austin and Jacob Bradshaw of San Marcos; a sister: Hilda Ruiz of Kerrville; and numerous nephews, a niece and multitude of friends.
Rosary will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 7:00 PM, St. Martin Catholic Church, 715 N 8th St in Kingsville.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 6, 2009, at 10:00 AM, St. Martin Catholic Church in Kingsville with Father Peter Koziel as celebrant.  Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg Auxiliary Volunteers.
