Marilyn Dale Garrett, 53, a former home health provider, died October 15, 2009.  Formerly of Sinton, she most recently resided in Corpus Christi.

Preceding her in death are mother Wanda Busby; brother Michael Busby; stepfather Howard Medlock; and uncle Willie Jones.

Family received guests from 3 pm to 5 pm on Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held Monday, October 19, 2009, 2:00 pm, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Leavell officiating.  Burial followed in Heaven’s Acres Cemetery in Sinton.

Pallbearers were Frankie Busby, III, Cody Busby, Donnie Davis, Stephen Burk, Malachi Busby, Thomas Light and Gerald Green.  Honorary pallbearers were Frankie Busby, Jr. and Howard Medlock, Jr.

Survivors include four daughters: Cynthia Garrett (Ladain Hines), Donna Holt, LeKisha McFarland and Regina Griffith, all of Corpus Christi; four brothers: Frankie Busby (Gloria) of Sinton, Howard Medlock, Jr. (Maria) of Las Vegas, NV, Willie Medlock (Leah) of Wimberley and Tracy Medlock (Elaine) of Kingsville; three sisters: Diana Burk (Steve) of Sinton, Vanessa Light (Thomas) of Brookshire and Stacy Selby of Sinton; three grandsons: Zion, Kenneth and Keyshawn; one granddaughter: Kiah; one uncle Charles Jones (Geraldine) of Sinton; a host of nieces and nephews.
