Bill was born to Luther Earl and Billie Nell Goldman on March 4, 1948 in Poteet, Texas. A former resident of Calallen, Texas, Bill resided in Sinton, Texas for the past eleven years. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifetime member of VFW in Robstown, Texas. Having worked as a production technician for Koch Refinery, Bill retired after 25 years of faithful service. His favorite pastimes included fishing and hunting. Bill leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Carlane McDonald Goldman of Sinton, Texas. Other survivors include his mother: Billie Taylor of Jourdanton, TX; one son: Billy (Emily) Goldman of Calallen, TX; two daughters: Karen Goldman of Orange Grove, TX and Jennifer (Woody) Atwood of Calallen, TX; one brother: Timmy (Trisha) Taylor of Jourdanton, TX; two sisters: Donna (Sug) Riley of Somerset, TX and Carla (Royce) McCarthy of Poteet, TX; nine grandchildren: Amanda Goldman, Audrey (Daniel) Pena, Kimber-Lea Atwood, Taylor Goldman, Cydni Cochran, Erin Goldman, Bradley Cochran, Karrigan Atwood and William Atwood; his mother-in-law Dorothy McDonald of Poteet, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends who will miss him dearly. Preceding in death is his father Luther Earl Goldman; stepfather Jim Taylor; brother Dennis Goldman; and father-in-law Bill McDonald. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Goldman, Ronnie McCarthy, Kody Taylor, John Blaylock, Taylor Wymer, Norman Parker, Robby Hesseltine and Sean McGinnis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Butch Roper, Ervin Menn and Jimmy Reeves. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, TX. Funeral services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Brother Randy Samuels officiating. Burial to follow at Sinton Cemetery in Sinton, TX. |
