Monroe L. Vorheier, a TV repairman formerly employed by Hopps TV & Appliance for twenty years, passed away April 10, 2010. He was 76. Monroe was born on March 6, 1934 in San Antonio, TX to Monroe and Irene Vorheier. He was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, TX. Survivors include six sons: Richard Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX, William (Maria) Vorheier, Chris Vorheier and Edward Vorheier all of San Antonio, TX, Monroe Vorheier, Jr. of Dallas, TX and David (Danielle) Vorheier of San Antonio, TX; 3 daughters: Debra Sanchez of San Antonio, TX, Kathy Stone of Florida and Diane Vorheier of Dallas, TX; one sister, Martha Gene Blackwell: fifty grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and former wife Mary Elen Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX. Preceding in death are his parents and a son, Michael Lindsey Vorheier. Pallbearers were William Vorheier, Chris Vorheier, Monroe Vorheier, Edward Vorheier, David Vorheier and Richard Rodriguez. Visitation began Thursday, April 15, 2010, 1:00 PM at St. James Catholic Church in San Antonio, TX. A Funeral Mass was celebrated the same day at 3:00 PM with Father Archie Tacay as celebrant. Burial followed at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio, TX . Services entrusted to Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. |
