Justa H. Medina, a homemaker and lifelong resident of Sinton, passed away April 26, 2010. She was 78.

Justa was born in Falls City, TX on August 6, 1931 to Jose and Maria Gamez Hernandez.

Survivors include two sons: David (Delia) Medina of Bryan, TX and Eliseo (Dell) Medina of Robstown, TX; four daughters: Guadalupe Guerra of Dallas, TX, Josephine Medina of Haines City, FL, San Juana (Abel) Elisarrarz of Madera, CA and Mary Medina of Weslaco, TX; 33 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death are her parents: Jose and Maria Gamez Hernandez; a daughter, Margarita Medina; a son, Hipolito Medina, Jr.; two brothers: Guadalupe Hernandez and Daniel Hernandez; three sisters: Simona Loredo, Jesusa Escobar and Felipa Esparza; two great-grandchildren: Juanita Garza Cavazos and Antonio Bustos; a great-great-grandchild, Zoey Marter.

Visitation began Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. Prayer services were held Tuesday, April 27 and Wednesday, April 28, 2010, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 29, 2010, 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ramiro Rubio officiating. Burial followed at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
