Dolores “Lita” DeLaCruz, a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas, passed away August 11, 2010. She was 74.

Lita was born on October 14, 1935 in Bishop, Texas to Antonio and Margarita Valencia DeLaCruz.

Survivors include a brother, Antonio DeLaCruz of Taft, Texas; a sister, Antonia Avila of Sinton, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding in death are her parents; a brother: Aniceto DeLaCruz; and two sisters: Maria Lopez and Rosa DeLaCruz.

Visitation began Friday, August 13, 2010, 12:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, Texas. A rosary was held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, August 14, 2010, 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Taft, Texas with Father Francisco Lopez as celebrant. Burial followed at Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft, Texas.
