Fernando Escobedo passed away August 28, 2010. He was 88.
He was born in Robstown, Texas on June 28, 1922 to Florentino and Juanita Rodriguez Escobedo, and was currently living in Sinton, Texas.  Fernando was a mechanic formerly employed by Kelly AFB.
Survivors include his wife Carmel Alaniz Escobedo of Sinton, TX; a son: Frank Escobedo of corpus Christi, TX; two step-sons: Jimmie Alaniz of Sinton, TX and Henry Alaniz of George West, TX; two step-daughters: Gracie Alaniz Gonzales of Sinton, Tx and Josie Alaniz Rodriguez of Kyle, TX; a brother Johnny Escobedo of Corpus Christi, TX; two sisters: Josefina Cisneros of Corpus Christi, TX and Francisca Gonzalez of Plainview, TX; numerous grand and great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death are two brothers; Margarito and Florentino Escobedo.

Visitation began Sunday, August 29, 2010, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A rosary was held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, August 30, 2010, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Father Shaji Varghese as celebrant. Burial followed at Eternal Rest Cemetery. Sinton.
