Nora DeLaTorre Rivera passed away December 5, 2010 with her loving family at her side. She was 52.Nora was born on June 12, 1958 in Sinton, Texas to Juan and Benita Moreno DeLaTorre.  Nora was raised in Odem, Texas, and made Corpus Christi her home of fifty years.DeLaTorre and Isaac Figueroa.

Nora was employed by Quest Diagnostics as a Phlebotomist for eleven years and was a self-employed hairdresser for more than thirty years.  Nora was full of life; she was outgoing, confident and outspoken.  Nora’s positive outlook made her easy to get along with and easily admired.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband Rufino Rivera of Corpus Christi, Texas; a son: Rufino “RJ” Rivera of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters: Denise DeLaTorre (Charles) and Angela Rivera (Joshua) both of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother: Leo DeLaTorre (Gloria) of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister: Norma DeAses (David)of Sinton, Texas; three grandchildren: Luke Powers, Jude Carter and Hannah Silva; and her loving nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death are her parents and a brother, Johnny DeLaTorre. Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 7, 2010, 8:30 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, Texas. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 1:00 PM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton, Texas, with Father Shaji Varghese as celebrant. Burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery, Odem, Texas.
Pallbearers will be David DeAses, Jr., Miles Lopez, Ricardo Tobar, Carlos Moreno, Erick DeLaTorre and Isaac Figueroa.
