Maria P. Trevino passed away December 6, 2010. She was 87.
Maria was born on September 15, 1923 in Sedgwick, Colorado to Jesus and Cleotilde Valencia Padron. She resided in Houston, Texas, but made Taft, Texas her home for the past three years.

Survivors include her husband: Rafael Trevino of Taft, Texas; four sons: Jose (Maricela) Trevino, Adrian (Alicia) Trevino, Florencio (Dolores) Trevino and Rafael (Mariana) Trevino, all of Houston, Texas; a daughter: Graciela (Humberto) Moreno of Taft, Texas; two sisters: Eloisa Padron of Edinburg, Texas and Rebecca Padron of Mexico; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Preceding in death are her parents, three sisters and three brothers.  Visitation will begin Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 10, 2010, 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, Taft with Father Francisco Lopez as celebrant. Burial to follow at Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
