Gladys Farek, 67, a resident of Tyler and former resident of Sinton, was called home to glory on December 13, 2010. 

She was a former employee of Bee Hive Childcare Center in Sinton.  She was employed by the JFK Group for more than 25 years, an employee of Dorothy Kelly and employee at Resthaven Funeral Home.  Gladys lived her life helping others.  Her passion was teaching children about the love of Christ.  Gladys demonstrated God’s love and mercy by showing others unconditional love.  Whenever someone needed something, she was there - sometimes before they even knew they needed help.  She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched.  Her husband William Farek and daughter Lynne Farek precede her in death.  Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Rodriguez and husband George of Groves, Tx; granddaughter Kendra Spain and husband Charles of Tyler, Tx; grandson Kristopher Hall and Appy of Nederland, Tx; sister Dianna Bellamy and husband Ralph of Marshall Missouri; sister-in-law Mildred Hyden of Corpus Christi; and two great grand daughters, Krista and Kara.  Visitation will continue Saturday, December 18, 2010, beginning at 9:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton.  A chapel service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ed Brennan officiating.  Private burial services will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or any Childrens Ministry of choice.
