Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 29, 2007, 12:00 noon, Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas. A rosary will be recited May 29, 2007, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas with Father Paul Rafareegam, Father Marcos Martinez and Father Henry Heese as celebrants. Burial will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton, Texas. Pallbearers are Louis Rodriguez, Elias Rodriguez, Jr., David Anthony Morales, Vicente Ortiz, Robert Youngs and Christopher Youngs. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Frances Paz of Sinton, Texas: 5 sons, Celestino Rodriguez of Dallas, Texas, Elias (Lamar) Rodriguez , Antonio (Anita) Rodriguez, and Johnny (Hilda) Paz all of Sinton, Texas, Ray Paz of Corpus Christi, Texas: 5 daughters, Adela (Resty) Isip of Corpus Christi, Texas, Hortencia Morales of Sinton, Texas, Beatrice (Ray) Soliz of Phoenix, Arizona, Sylvia (Tony) Talavera, of Sealy, Texas, Gloria (Jim) Reeves of Sinton, Texas; 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Alfredo Zamora and Luis Mendoza. Services under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas. |

Epifanio “Eppie” Paz, 85,
a resident of Sinton, Texas died May 28, 2007. He was born October 18,
1921 to Juan Paz and Francisca Mejia in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Paz
served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was a Scoutmaster
for boy scout troop 283 from April 1957-April 1967. He served on Sinton
ISD school board April 1964 to July 1981. He served in the capacity
of Board Secretary six years, Board Vice President two years and Board
President seven years. Mr. Paz was employed by San Patricio County News
as a Commercial Printing Manager 47 years. He was a Catholic.
