Leroy G. Rodriguez died on May 1, 2011. He was 52. Leroy was born on July 3, 1958 in Sinton, Texas to Reynaldo and Dora Garcia Rodriguez. He was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas. Leroy was a carpenter and construction worker who was employed by Goodman Enterprises for most of his life.
 

Survivors include his wife Sylvia Rodriguez of Odem, TX; his parents Dora and Mario Aviles of Odem, TX; six daughters: Daphney (Abel) Garcia of Corpus Christi, TX, Delainey (Andres) Longoria of Sinton, TX, Monica (Justin) Soliz-Shultz of Fort Bragg, NC, Issy (Mikhail) Schlunsen of San Diego, CA, Marty (Nicholas Cavazos) Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX, and Amanda (Randy) Maza of Portland, TX; two brothers: Jesse (Cindy) Hinojosa and Mario (Brenda) Aviles, both of Odem, TX; twelve grandchildren: Soleil, Zoe, Isiah, Anthony, Seth, Devin, Taylor, Lance, Samuel, Kayla, Mikayla and Giada.
Preceding in death is his father Reynaldo S. Rodriguez and grandparents Jesus and Marta Garcia.
Visitation began Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 9:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A rosary was recited the same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, May 5, 2011, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Odem with Father Isaias Estepa as celebrant. Burial followed at San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
