Alvin Ernest “Buddy” Odom, Jr., 63, of Sinton, Texas died May 29, 2007 in a local hospital.   Mr. Odom was a self-employed butcher, owned a BBQ restaurant, a lease service, a daycare and most recently, Odom’s Gift Shop.   

Visitation will begin Wednesday, May 30, 2007, 12 noon, Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas.  Family will receive friends from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the funeral home.  A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31, 2007, 10:00 AM, at the funeral home. Private burial will follow.  

Survivors include his wife: Jean Odom of Sinton, Texas; his son, Alex Odom of Sinton, Texas; his daughter, Suzette Hesseltine of Sinton, Texas; his parents: Beany and Jo Odom of Beeville, Texas; one brother: Jim Odom of Kerrville, Texas; one grandson, Hunter Hesseltine of Sinton, Texas.  A sister, Myra Wilder, precedes him in death.

In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be made to Jeff Gore Ministries, 2151 County Rd 479, Coleman, Texas 76834.  Services under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas.
