Josias Cruz Franco, Jr., 67, died January 15, 2012. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on May 16, 1944 to Josias Sr. and Anita Cruz Franco. Josias lived in Houston and Alice, Texas before coming to Sinton where he resided for the past year.  He was a truck driver employed with Koch Refinery for most of his adult life.

Survivors include a son Santiago (Michelle) Franco of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Lamar (Elias) Rodriguez of Sinton, Texas, Nora (Milton) Garcia of Odem, Texas, Anita Franco of Sinton, Texas, Melinda S. Franco of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandson Joshua Ray Chapa of Alice, Texas; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding in death are his parents: Josias Sr. and Anita Cruz Franco; daughter: Yolanda Franco Chapa; son-in-law: Albert Chapa and granddaughter: Olivia Chapa.
Visitation began Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 12:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home. A rosary was held the same evening, 7:30 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Shaji Varghese as celebrant. Burial followed in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
