Mrs. Soila DeLira Zapata, 71, of Sinton, died July 07, 2007 at a local hospital.
She was born to Manuel and Esther Garza DeLira on August 31, 1935 in Sinton, Texas.  She was employed by Child Protective Services 22 years until her retirement. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton, Texas.

Her husband, Rafael G. Zapata, her parents, sisters Juanita Lindley, Rosa DeLira and a brother, Adolfo DeLira precede her in death.
Soila Zapata was a courageous mother who became widowed when her children were very young. By her example she fostered in them a faith and hope in GOD.

Survivors include three sons: Ralph D. Zapata, Richard D. (Alise) Zapata, both of Sinton, Texas, Roland D. Zapata of Tampa, Florida; one daughter, Linda (David) Torres of Round Rock, Texas; one brother, Fred (Frances) DeLira of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Elva Villanueva of Sinton, Texas, Dolores (Bill) Flores and Ann Patino, both of San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will begin Monday, July 9, 2007, 2:00 PM, Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas.  Rosary will be recited Monday, 8:00 PM, Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 10, 2007, 2:00 PM, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton, Texas, with Rev. Father David Taurasi as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.  Services under the direction of Resthaven  Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas.
