Petra R. Martinez, 89, of Sinton, Texas died Friday, August 03, 2007.  Born June 30, 1918 to Juan and Olivia Ramirez Martinez, she was a lifelong resident of Sinton.  She was a devoted homemaker and devout Roman Catholic.

Survivors include: a sister, Trinidad M. Lopez of Sinton; 3 nephews, Father J. Francisco Lopez of Taft, Juan Torres of Sinton, Isaac Torres of Portland; 2 nieces, Maria Estella Flores of Sinton and Magdalena Elizondo of Portland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Maria Torres, and her brother Isaac Martinez.

Visitation will begin Monday, August 6, 2007, 1:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton.  Rosary will be recited Monday, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 10:00 AM, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton with Father Frank Lopez as celebrant and Rev. Father David Taurasi as co-celebrant.  Interment will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
