Anastacia Perez Soto, a homemaker and lifelong resident of St. Paul, passed away October 11, 2007. She was 72.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Guadalupe and Adelaida Perez, her husband, Pedro Soto, a son, Benito Soto, and a daughter, Sylvia Sanchez.
Survivors include five sons: Pedro (Chris) Soto, Jr. of Mathis, Jesse and Israel Soto, both of Sinton, Fernando (Mirtha) and Raymundo Soto, both of Dallas, eight daughters: Margaret Rodriguez and Ana Soto of Victoria, Paula (Arthur) Castaneda of Papalote, Olga (Rene) Cantu, Connie Soto, and Alice (Mike) Moody of Sinton, Ofelia (John) Garcia of Huntsville, and Yolanda (Genaro)Arismendez of Harlingen, five brothers: Domingo (Celestina) Perez of Taft, Augustine (Esther) Perez of Little Field, Jose (Cruz) Perez, Oscar Perez and Juan Chavez, all of Sinton, eleven sisters: Simona (Santos) Aguirre of Woodsboro, Estella Almager and Elida (David) Osornio, both of Levelland, Alicia (Librado) Ramos of Aransas Pass, Amalia Gomez, Abelia (Jesse) Morataya, and Lupita (Tony) Andrade, all of Sinton, Adela (Abel) Trevino of Odem, Maria (Adolfo) Gonzales, Susan (Rogelio) Franco, and Sylvia (Tony) Fuentes, all of Garland, 34 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation began Saturday, October 13, at 2:00 PM and continued on Sunday, October, 14, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM , Sunday, Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. Funeral mass was Monday, October 15, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton, with Father Paul Rajareegam as celebrant. Burial followed at John J. Welder Memorial Cemetery, St. Paul.
