Amelia G. Rodriguez, owner and manager of the San Patricio County Courthouse Snack Bar for eight years, passed away January 23, 2008. She was 77.
Amelia was born to Rafael and Isabel Gonzalez on July 11, 1930, in Driscoll, Texas. She lived most of her life in Sinton and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sinton, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Jessie (Susan) Rodriguez of Sinton, Texas; a daughter, Isabel (Michael) Maldonado of Taft, Texas; two brothers, Alfredo (Elida) Gonzalez of Sinton, Texas, and Anselmo Gonzalez of Ennis, Texas; three sisters, Audelia Garcia, Angelita Sanchez and Anita (Juan) Molina, all of Sinton, Texas; six grandchildren, Susan Garcia, Phillip Maldonado, Michelle Maldonado, Rodney Rodriguez, Ravae Rodriguez and Rafael (R.D.) Rodriguez; eight great-grandchildren, Alyssa Garcia, Allison Garcia, Heaven Maldonado, Lorilie Maldonado, Jordan Maldonado, Brianna Aguirre, Danika Aguirre, and Taliyah Bess.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Rodriguez; a daughter, Yolanda Rodriguez; and a brother, Alfonso Gonzalez.
Visitation will begin Saturday, January 26, 2008, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and continue through Sunday, January 27, 2008, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited Sunday, January 27, 2008, 7:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 29, 2008, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton, Texas. Burial will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.
