Rosalio "Chale" Soto, a former mechanic for Joe’s Exxon in Sinton, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was 71.

Survivors include seven stepchildren, Manuel, Mayo, Angie, Susie, Mamie, Frank and Joe; one brother, Victor Soto, of Sinton; one sister, Aurora Rodriguez, of Rockport; a close and special friend, Rosa Back, of Portland; and many grandchildren.

Visitation began Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 12:00 noon, with a rosary at 7:00 PM, Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. The Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, March 7, 2008, at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Sinton, Texas, with Father Shaji Varghese as celebrant. Burial followed at the John J. Welder Memorial Cemetery in St. Paul, Texas.
