Guadalupe “Lupina” Esparza, formerly of Sinton, Texas, passed away August 12, 2008 in Plano, Texas. She was 68.

Survivors include five sons: Tony Esparza, Ruben Esparza, and Eddie Esparza, all of Dallas, Texas; Pedro Esparza, Jr. of Houston, Texas and Angel Esparza of Ft. Worth, Texas; one daughter: Patricia Esparza of Houston, Texas; one brother, Ramon Tijerina of Aransas Pass, Texas; two sisters, Lala Gutierrez of Cactus, Texas and Janie Garces of New Braunfels, Texas; eight grandchildren: Daniel Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Melissa Garcia Saucedo, Elizabeth Garcia Carreras, Angelic Esparza, Vanessa Esparza, Mikayla Esparza, and Marita Esparza; two great grandchildren, Victor Manuel Saucedo and Manuel Angel Garcia.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro R. Esparza, her parents, Simon and Isabel Tijerina; a brother David Tijerina;  and a grandchild, Paul Anthony Esparza.

Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2008, 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, 2:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Sinton, Texas.
