Mrs. Estela Guerra passed away August 13, 2008. She was 91.

Estella was born April 5, 1917 in El Carmen, Texas. In 1934 she married Alfonso Guerra, in Brownsville, Texas. She lived in Sinton since 1991. Estela spent her life, after giving her life to Christ, telling all of His Love. Her joy was to care and serve others and gardening.

Estela is survived by her daughters Maria Elena (Servando) Canales of Fresno, Texas, Hilda (Rene) Garcia of Mathis, Texas, Yolanda (Charles) Lopez of Spring, Texas, Norma (Arnulfo) Martinez and Glenda (Larry-deceased) Gomez, both of Sinton, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful dog, Lola.      

She is preceded in death by her husband Alfonso Guerra, 9 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 grandchildren and an adopted daughter, Celia Padron.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 14, 2008, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at the Borden Street Church of Christ in Sinton, Texas. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 15, 2008, 10:00 AM, at the Borden Street Church of Christ in Sinton, Texas. A grave-side service will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008, 10:00 AM, at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
