Gilbert V. Espinoza, a Pipe Fitter Supervisor for Beacon Construction Company in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away September 20, 2008. He was 49.

Gilbert was born to Jesus and Anita Espinoza on May 22, 1959 in Sinton, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas, a graduate of Sinton High School, a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton and served as an alter boy in his youth. Gilbert also served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Firman of Sinton, Texas; one daughter, Monica Cole of Houston, Texas: eight brothers, Abel (Nelda) Espinoza, David Espinoza and Daniel Espinoza all of Sinton, Texas; Samuel (Sharon) Espinoza of Cottage Grove, Oregon, Jesus Espinoza, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Tommy Flores of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Louis Flores and Johnny Joe (Destiny) Flores, both of Sinton, Texas; two sisters, Dora Scales of Killeen, Texas and Sylvia Flores of Sinton, Texas; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents Jesus H. Espinoza and Anita Espinoza Flores; and a brother, Moises Espinoza.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 24, 2008, 2:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Sinton, Texas. A rosary will be recited Thursday, September 25, 2008, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 26, 2008, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton, Texas. Burial will follow Saturday, September 27, 2008, 11:00 AM, Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton, Texas.
