Lucas Lee Ortiz of Alice, 22, a former member of the US Army National Guard Reserve and graduate of Agua Dulce High School, died Sunday, September 27, 2009.

Preceding him in death is his paternal grandfather, Arcadio Ortiz, Sr.

Visitation will begin Thursday, 11 am, Resthaven Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Sinton with burial in Taft Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Casey Lee Montes, Ricky Rivera, Jessie Nino, Jr., John Paul Anthony Longoria, Johnny Milton Nino and Jonathan Nino.

Survivors include his father Arcadio Ortiz, Jr. of Alice; his mother Mary Esther Sanchez of Sinton; two brothers Christopher Lee Ortiz of Cypress and Bobby Joe Nino of Alice; paternal grandmother Maria Nieves Ortiz of Alice; maternal grandparents Juan and Ester Nino of Sinton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
