Sinton – Alfredo M. “Coca” Rivas passed away November 20, 2016. He was 62.

Alfredo was born in Brownfield, Texas on January 25, 1954 to Santos and Isabel (Marez) Rivas. He was a retired commercial truck driver formerly employed with H & K Construction.

Preceding Alfredo in death are his parents: Santos and Isabel Rivas; brothers: Santos Rivas, Jr., Efrain Rivas and Jose Rivas.

Survivors include his wife: Diana R. Rivas of Needville, Texas; sons: Alfredo Rivas, Jr. (Dalila) and Edward Rivas (Lorie), both of Sinton, Texas; daughters: Cynthia Camarillo (Nikolas) of Dallas, Texas; Isabel R. Flores (Andrew); Alma R Cortes (Jorge) and Jessica M. Luna (Will), all of Needville, Texas. Alfredo raised three of his grandchildren; Stephanie Olivares (Efrain); Amanda Montes (Angel) and Angela Gonzalez (Edgar). Other survivors include grandchildren:  Sonny Rey Pina; Anna Rodriguez; Jared Rivas; Sydney R. Rivas; Joshua Rivas; Jorge Cortes; Klaryssa Cortes; Edward Rivas, Jr.; Joseph Rivas; Jonathan Rivas; Keeley Flores; Luke Rivas; Natalie Luna; and Will Dominic Luna; great-grandchildren: Edgar Gonzales, Jr.; Amariah Valero; Amber Valero; Angel Rodriguez; Genesis Rodriguez; Amani Valero and Adam Gonzalez; brothers: Eliseo Rivas (Delia); Albert Rivas (Alicia); Roberto Rivas, all of Sinton, Texas; Ramon Rivas (Helen) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Texas and Gabriel Rivas of El Paso, Texas; sisters: Carmen Arroyo (Dan); Maria DelaGarza (Arturo) and Rita Davila, all of  Crosbyton, Texas.

Visitation will begin Friday, November 25, 2016, 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 26, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Eliseo Rivas, Sr.,  Ramon Rivas, Roberto Rivas, Gabriel Rivas, Jose Rivas, Jr., and Joe Rivas. Honorary Pallbearer will be Alberto Rivas.
