Taft – Alfredo “Fred” Nava Sifuentes passed away November 22, 2015. He was 72.

Fred was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 13, 1943 to Marcos and Concepcion (Nava) Sifuentes. He was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. Fred was a landscaper.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents: Marcos and Concepcion Sifuentes; brothers: Marcos Sifuentes, Jr. and Steven Nava. 

Survivors include daughter: Pamela; brothers: Carlos (Frances) Nava of Taft, Texas; David (Irene) Nava of California; Frank (Norma) Nava of Pharr, Texas; Victor (Melissa) Nava of Taft, Texas, John (Kathy) Nava Sifuentes of Effingham. Ill. and Michael (Paula) Sifuentes of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Manuela Nicholson of Corpus Christi, Texas; Nancy Nava (Alventor Rodriguez) of Taft, Texas; Mary Nava Coleman of Austin, Texas; Ginny (Rodolfo) Nava Molina of Taft, Texas; two grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, November 27, 2015, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft, Texas with Father Jose Gutierrez as celebrant. Burial will follow at a later date.
