Sinton – Annette M. Cantu, 48, passed away January 10, 2016.

She was born August 6, 1967 in Sinton, Texas to Jose Maria and Simona (Martinez) Cantu.

Annette was a lifelong resident of Sinton. She was a former employee of HEB and Prosperity Bank.

Preceding in death are her parents, Jose Maria and Simona (Martinez) Cantu; and in-laws, Frank and Maria Mendez.

Survivors include her husband: Robert Mendez of Sinton, Texas; son: Michael Mendez of Sinton, Texas; 3 brothers: Israel Cantu, Sr. (Janie) of St. Paul, Texas; Robert Cantu (Janie) of Princeton, Texas and Rene Cantu, Sr. (Olga) of St. Paul, Texas; 2 sisters: Olga Garza (Tony) and Norma Jean Carranza (Julian) of Sinton, Texas; 1 great-niece: Aubriella Garza ; 1 great -nephew: Dominic Gonzales; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, January 15, 2016, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton. Pallbearers will be Israel Cantu, Ernest Cantu, Marcus Garza, Aaron Garza, John Paul Garza and David Gonzales, Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Cantu, Alonzo Garza, Jr., Justin Cantu, Marcos Mancias, Dominic Gonzales, Jared Sanchez, Jonah Sanchez and Adrian Cantu.
