Odem – Barbara Jean Williams Stansbury passed away November 30, 2015 with her loving family at her side. She was 80.

Barbara was a resident of Odem, Texas since 1959. She was a retired Odem ISD school teacher who taught 4th and 5th grades for 32 years. Barbara loved children, and that is why she became a school teacher. Barbara never met a stranger.  She was an active member of Odem Church of Christ.  

Surivors include her husband of 50 years: Warren F. Stansbury of Odem, Texas; a son: Wayne Stansbury (Mary Anne) of Hondo, Texas; a daughter: Denise Stansbury of Odem, Texas; and two grandsons:  Zachary and Nicholas Stansbury.

Family will receive guests beginning Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM in Evergreen Cemetery, Odem, Texas with Mr. Nicholas Stansbury officiating.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Stansbury, Zachary Stansbury, Nicholas Stansbury, Patrick Hammack, Leonard Stroman and Wayne Wilks. Honorary Pallbearers will be will be Kenneth Bosworth, Bryan Keeton, Stacy French and Bill Emerson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sunny Glen Childrens's Home.
