Calallen – Cathy Gibson passed away March 20, 2017 with her loving family at her side. She was 66.

Cathy was born November 9, 1950 to John and Claude (Sills) Brewer in Navasota, Texas. She was currently a resident of Calallen, Texas and former resident of Three Rivers, Texas. Cathy married the love of her life, Walter Lee Gibson. They were married 47 years. Cathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Cathy is preceded in death by her son: Joseph Gibson; and her parents: John and Claude Brewer.

Survivors include her sons: James Lee Gibson (Tina) of Odem, Texas and Jerry Lee Gibson of Hernandez, New Mexico; a daughter: Stephanie Gibson of Calallen, Texas; a brother: Carl Chisholm of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters: Evelyn Sage of College Station, Texas; Frances Riggs of Bryan, Texas; Louise Barnes (Hank) of San Antonio, Texas; Lanell Miller (John) of Waxahachie, Texas; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and her beloved Peanut.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. Family will receive guests from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 23, 2017, 11:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Odem, Texas. Burial will follow.
