Woodsboro – Chris Esquivel passed away April 11, 2016. He was 45.

Chris was born in Aransas Pass, Texas on September 16, 1970 to Carlos C. and Concha (Garcia) Esquivel.

Chris was currently a resident of Woodsboro, Texas but spent his early years in Taft, Texas. He was a foreman employed by On-Track Lease Services.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Jimmy Esquivel, Richard Esquivel Sr. and Carlos Esquivel.

Survivors include his wife: Angie Esquivel of Woodsboro Texas; a son: Christopher Esquivel, Jr. of Woodsboro, Texas; a daughter: Christine Esquivel of Woodsboro, Texas; brothers: Rodolfo (Mary) Hernandez  of Taft, Texas; Noe Esquivel of Taft, Texas; Danny (Maria Elena) Esquivel of Woodsboro, Texas; Oscar (Lisa) Esquivel of Taft, Texas and Rene Esquivel of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters: Rosario (Jesse) Hernandez of Woodsboro, Texas; Juana (Domingo) Vasquez of Woodsboro, Texas; Maria (Mario) Gallegos of Corpus Christi, Texas; Norma (Harvey) Davis of Taft, Texas; Rita (Raul) Vasquez of Woodsboro, Texas; Marta (John) Moody of Woodsboro, Texas and Janie Esquivel of Woodsboro, Texas; grandchildren: Christian Esquivel and Madison Esquivel.   

Visitation will begin Sunday, April 17, 2016, 4:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, Texas. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 18, 2016, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft, Texas with Father Peter Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
