San Diego – Diana Sturgeon Stansell passed away March 24. 2017. She was 51.

Diana was born in Taft, Texas on December 21, 1965 to Ulmer and Domitila (Flores) Sturgeon. She was formerly employed as an LVN with the Corpus Christi Health Department for 10 years. She lived in San Diego, Texas one and a half years, but resided most of her life in Taft, Texas.

Preceding Diana in death is her grandfather: Ulmer Sturgeon, Sr.; grandfather: Tirso Flores: and grandmother: Rita Flores.

Survivors include her loving husband: Charles T. Stansell of San Diego, Texas; parents: Ulmer and Domitila Sturgeon of Taft, Texas; son: Joseph Rodriguez (Erica) of New Jersey; grandchildren: Tirso James Rodriguez, Emma Jade Rodriguez and Emily Grace Rodriguez, all of Taft, Texas; brothers: Ulmer Sturgeon (Dora) of Portland, Texas and Eric Sturgeon (Cheryl) of South Carolina; sisters: Debra Lynn Castaneda (Alejandro) of San Antonio, Texas and Denise Villarreal (BJ) of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will begin Monday, March 27, 2017, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 28, 2017, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
