Odem – Esteban G. “Stevie” Garcia, IV, passed away September 22, 2016. He was 21.

Stevie was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 25, 1994 to Esteban III and Elvira (Garcia) Garcia.  He was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas and worked as a welder’s helper at Voestalpine in Gregory, Texas.

Stevie is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Esteban Garcia, III; maternal grandmother: Guadalupe Garcia; and nephew: Joyous Santellana.

Survivors include his parents: Esteban III and Elvira Garcia of Odem, Texas; brothers: Bruce Brown and Brian Brown both of Dallas, Texas: sisters: Erica Elizardo of Odem, Texas; Stephanie Acosta (Albert) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Velarie Garcia (Sergio Santellana) of Odem, Texas; Cindy Hernandez (Paulo) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Kathy Garcia of Odem, Texas; and Yvonne “Bonnie” Garcia (Tony Martinez) of Odem, Texas.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 26, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church in Odem, Texas. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
