Taft – Hubert Earl Lucas, Jr. passed away March 22, 2017. He was 65.

Hubert was born in Spring Valley, Ill on May 15, 1951 to Hubert Sanford and Mary Eunice (Metcalf) Lucas. He was formerly employed as a Superintendent in construction at the Wilson Building in Corpus Christi, Texas.

He was a resident of Taft, Texas since 1980 and formerly of Aransas Pass, Texas.

Hubert is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife: Carol Ann (McGovern) Lucas of Taft, Texas; daughter: Jennifer Skillings (John) of Illinois; stepson: Danny Roberts (Melissa) of Portland, Texas; grandchildren: Nick Skillings; Halli Skillings; Quentin Skillings; Daniel Roberts and Cameron Roberts; brother: Kenneth Lucas of Wyoming; and sister: Linda Hampton of Missouri.
