Taft – Joe Rivera, Jr., 50, passed away July 7, 2017. Joe was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 16, 1967 to Joe and Anita (Rodriguez) Rivera.

Joe was a sandblaster formerly employed with CCB and various refineries.

He was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas

Preceding Joe in death is his father: Joe Rivera, Sr.; and sisters: Hilda and Patricia Rivera.

Survivors include his mother: Anita Rivera of Taft, Texas: brothers: Lionel Rodriguez and Manuel Rivera (Anita) both of Taft, Texas, Robert Rivera (Erica) of Annaville, Texas; Henry Rivera (Carmen) of Taft, Texas; sisters: Sandra Pulido (Richard) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Vanessa Paula Rivera of Taft, Texas; Veronica Rivera (Estevan Adame) of Houston Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 5:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 13, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
