Sinton – Joseph Gene Collins passed away April 8, 2016. He was 79.

Joseph was born in Clarksville, TN on February 28, 1937 to Merlin and Maggie (Parks) Collins. He proudly served in the United States Navy.

Joseph is preceded in death by brothers: Morris, Lawrence, Jerry, Lloyd and Lester.

Survivors include his wife: Carol Collins of Sinton, Texas; son: Juan Antonio Garcia (Jasmine) of Taft, Texas; daughters: Mary JoAnn Collins Garcia of Calallen, Texas; Sheryl Lynn Becerra (Dusty) of Victoria, Texas; Holly Trice (John) of Sinton, Texas; Isabel Renee Garcia of Sinton, Texas; Glynis Gene Collins of Florida; brothers: Paul Collins of Bryan, OH; James “Jim” Collins of Mt. Vernon, KY; Teddy Collins (Marilyn) of Portland, OR; Charles “Chuck” Collins of Ft. Myers, FL and Carl Collins (Elda) of Hicksville, OH; sisters: Sue Hissong (Jerry) of Hicksville, OH and Lola Conrad (Bill) of Harlan, IN; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at a later date.
