Sinton – Joyce Jeanette Hunt was called home to heaven on November 19, 2017. She was 88.

Joyce was born to Luther and Winnie Blissit on October 29, 1929. She married her sweetheart, Louis T. Hunt on October 3, 1948. They were married for 62 years.

Joyce was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was a former member of VFW Post 8625 Ladies’ Auxiliary, where her husband Louis served as Quartermaster for many years. She enjoyed baking, sewing, crochet and working in her yard. Until her death, Joyce spent her time completing word search puzzles. Joyce will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her.

Joyce leaves behind 3 children: Gary (Diane) Hunt of Corpus Christi, Texas; Carolyn Hunt of Sinton, Texas; Danny Hunt of Mathis, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Travis, Tracy, Janet, Kimberly and Justin; 10 great-grandchildren: Tasha, Sydney, Abbie, Clay, Crystal, Averie, Melanie, Brayden, London and Tristan; 1 great-great granddaughter: Arya; 5 nephews; 1 niece; 6 grand-nephews and 8 grand-nieces.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 11:00 AM at

Sinton Cemetery in Sinton, Texas with Pastor Sandra Morales officiating.

Interment will follow.
