Sinton – Norland Ray “Rooster” Hoskins, passed away August 3, 2015. He was 84. Norland was born in Bastrop County, Texas on January 23, 1931 to Calvin and Edna (McWhorter) Hoskins. He retired from San Patricio County where he worked for many years as Maintenance Supervisor. Norland was a resident of Sinton for 40 years, and formerly Mathis.

Preceding Norland in death are his parents: Calvin and Edna Hoskins; brother: W.B. “Buddy” Hoskins; and sister: Olivia Alexander.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years: Dorothy Hoskins of Sinton, Texas; brother: A.G. (Linda) Hoskins of Mathis, Texas; sister-in-law: Geraldine Hoskins of Runge, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, August 5, 2015, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A chapel service will be held August 6, 2015, 10:00 AM, at the funeral home followed by a 3:00 PM graveside service in Fairview Cemetery of Bastrop, Texas.
