Sinton – Olivia Perez Torres passed away October 14, 2017. She was 87.

Olivia was born in Sinton, Texas on November 20, 1929 to Margarito and Raquela (Villasana) Perez. Olivia was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas. She retired after 38 years as an LVN. She was formerly employed with the Taft Convalescent Nursing Home in Taft, Texas.

Olivia is preceded in death by her husband: Jesus Torres; son: Joe Henry Gonzales; parents: Margarito and Raquela Torres; and brothers: Jose Perez and Gilbert Perez.

Survivors include a son: Roque Segovia (Rosa) of Lake Jackson, Texas; daughters: Dolores Martinez (Steve) of San Antonio, Texas; Olga Rodriguez (Martin) of Norfolk, VA; Gloria Alonzo (Dan) of Rockport, Texas and Linda Gonzales (Joe Rey) of Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters; Lupe Rodriguez (Fred) and Josie Vasquez, both of San Antonio, Texas.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2017, 5:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
