Corpus Christi - Ramon Aranda passed away November 6, 2017.  He was 60. Ramon was born in Taft, Texas on June 25, 1957 to Marcelino DeJesus and Carmen (Perez) Aranda. He was a retired painter/sandblaster formerly employed with Danos Industry. He was a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and formerly of Portland, Texas.

Ramon is preceded in death by his parents: Marcelino and Carmen Aranda; brothers: Sammy Aranda and Juan Aranda; and sister: Elma Aranda.

Survivors include his son: Christopher Aranda of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Melissa Aranda of Houston, Texas and Christine Aranda of Victoria, Texas; four grandchildren; Desiree Gutierrez, Danielle Gutierrez, Alfredo Gutierrez and Joseph Gutierrez; one great-grandchild; Lacey Gutierrez; brothers: Felipe Aranda of Taft, Texas; Rumaldo Aranda of Corpus Christi, Texas; Joe Aranda (Alma) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Cruz Aranda (Lydia) of Sinton, Texas; Martin Aranda of Corpus Christi, Texas; Jose Guadalupe Aranda of Taft, Texas and Randy Aranda of Taft, Texas; sisters: Maria Eva Rodriguez (Jose) of Ganado, Texas and Elva Reyes of San Antonio, Texas; former spouse: Margaret Aranda of Victoria, Texas.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, November 8, 2017, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. A chapel service will be held Thursday, November 9, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. Burial will follow in Gregory Cemetery, Gregory.
