Raul B. Hinojosa

Odem – Raul B. Hinojosa passed away February 13, 2018. He was 72.

Raul B. Hinojosa was born December 1, 1945 in Donna, Texas to Isabel (Balderas) and Ernesto Hinojosa.  He was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas. Raul retired from Odem ISD and went to work for Del Mar College in their shipping /receiving department.

Raul is preceded in death by his parents:  Isabel and Ernesto Hinojosa; and his in-laws: Jose and Hilaria DeLaTorre.

Survivors include his wife: Erlinda Hinojosa of Odem, Texas; daughters: Brenda Martinez, Belinda Hinojosa, Elizabeth “Lisa” Hinojosa, Jennifer Gonzales (Peter) and Sandra Lala Vasquez (Enrique III), all of Odem, Texas; Yolanda Hinojosa (Robert) and Cynthia Hinojosa, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; sons: Raul Hinojosa, Jr. of  Odem, Texas and Jose “Joe” Ernesto Hinojosa (Hope) of  Taft, Texas; 3 brothers;  5 sisters; 4 sister-in-laws; 6 brother-in-laws 17 grandchildren:  Naomi Moreno, Hector Martinez, Jr., Jasmine Rae Hinojosa, Zackary Michael Emerson, Mariah Danielle Gonzales, Enrique H. Vasquez IV, Hillary Diane Gonzales, Nicholas Raul Hinojosa, Janelle Lynda Mendez, Dylan Vasquez, Aiden Gonzales, Petey Gonzales, Ryan Joseph Mendez, John Andrew Hinojosa, Matteo Vasquez, Talan Vasquez and Joe Angel Hinojosa; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Madysin Michelle Moreno and Mark Moreno, Jr.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 18, 2017, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 19, 2018, 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, Odem. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
